Flower Hill Farm Retreat Autumn Landscapes
Autumn landscapes are ablaze with colors of oranges, reds and yellows. Beginning in late September, and through November, the palette of our hillside landscape is inspiring. Apples are falling from fruit trees and wildlife sightings are thrilling. Monarch butterflies emerge in the gardens and fields. Some visiting butterflies are passing through on their way to Mexico. Falling leaves become leafy carpets to walk through. Here at Flower Hill Farm Retreat we do not rake up the leaves. Many creatures use them as protection from the cold winter months. Also, the sounds of walking and frolicking through leaves are timeless and fun. I hope you enjoy some of the landscapes captured during autumn at Flower Hill Farm Retreat. Countless colorful tapestries are spread out across our hillside and the distant hills. When the sun lights up the the thousands of birch, beech, black cherry, and rock maple on Carey Hill, they appear golden.
