Flower Hill Farm Gardens
The gardens of Flower Hill Farm are rambling and wild-like filled with groupings of native trees, native shrubs, and native plants that seasonally spring to bloom and bear fruit. There are plenty of non-native shrubs and plants spilling over this hillside paradise too. The gardens and fields offer excellent opportunities for butterfly enthusiast and birdwatchers alike. I have documented over fifty species of butterflies and over seventy bird species within the gardens and fields over the last five years. Other wondrous encounters with wildlife have been documented and are a part of this fifty-six page website.
Over thirty years ago, when I first put my garden fork into the deep, dark loam of Flower Hill Farm, I did not know of the important relationship between native plants and wildlife. Intuitively I did something right and the gardens of Flower Hill Farm began teaching me how to better garden for pollinators, butterflies and birds. There are several pages here devoted to the gardens of Flower Hill Farm throughout the seasons. SPRING SUMMER AUTUMN WINTER
