Flower Hill Farm Retreat Spring Gardens

Spring is a renewal and rebirth of life on our hill. It is always miraculous to watch life swell and burst free from calyx and earth. Stellata Magnolia is one of the earlier to bloom. The delicate flowers spill a sweet and delicious fragrance into the air around the lower gardens. The hillside across the way becomes alive in the colors of maple, beech, birch, and oak blossoms. It is magical to witness the landscape stirring with the life of flora and fauna, of flower, insect, and bird. There is suddenly an explosion all around. It is overwhelmingly beautiful. The fresh green after the months of grays and white. Intoxicating when it rushes into apple blossoms and lilac. Bright colorful birds darting about. Calling out to their mates. Spring is an elixir. It is my favorite season.
