Flower Hill Farm’s Wildlife Habitat
Gardening for wildlife can animate ordinary days here at Flower Hill Farm. I was surprised one winter afternoon when sighting wild turkeys jumping out of crabapple trees in the little orchard near my barn studio. And delighted with the images I captured. Through photography, I am able to relive enchanted moments with wild creatures that share this habitat I call home. I am working on a Bestiary. A book about my experiences and observations of butterflies, birds, deer, bear, and other fauna that live in the gardens, fields, and forest around my home and retreat. I have a large collection of animal portraits. I happened upon many while walking or working in the gardens. Then, there were those lucky sightings when I looked out the window at just the right moment and had my camera nearby.
I feel incredibly blessed and hope you can take a look at the pages devoted to the diverse wildlife here at Flower Hill Farm.
